2022 12th rounder, Noah Bender, signs with Generals
Oshawa, Ont. – The Oshawa Generals organization is extremely excited to announce 12th round selection, Noah Bender, has signed an OHL scholarship and development agreement.
Bender, selected 231st overall at the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, is the newest player to join the Generals out of camp.
The Waterloo, Ont., native spent the 2022-2023 season with the Wellesley AppleJacks of the PJCHL. In 33 games, the 6.4″ tall, 194-pound goaltender appeared in 33 games. Bender was victorious in 23 of those games, suffering just four losses and three overtime loses all season. An impressive 2.46 goals against average helped backstop the ApppleJacks to a Schmaltz Cup Championship.
In 24 postseason games, Bender continued to be a rock in net, playing to a 19-4-1 record. He held a 2.34 goals against average and a strong .920 save percentage – including two shutouts.
Bender will be dressed for tomorrow afternoon’s exhibition game in Kitchener, against the Kitchener Rangers.
