Lennon joins the Penguins after several seasons with the Frontenacs organization, where he played a key role in the club's hockey operations department. His attention to detail, work ethic, and ability to break down video and provide valuable insights have made him an integral part of the Frontenacs' success both on and off the ice.

Lennon spent the past two seasons with the Frontenacs, serving as Director of Analytics and Video Coach before being promoted to Director of Hockey Operations ahead of the upcoming 2026-27 season.

The 24-year-old has also been active with Hockey Canada, recently being named Video Coach for Team Canada Red at the 2026 World U17 Challenge. He previously contributed pre-scouting video work for Canada’s entries at the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship and the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The trio is among just 80 players from across the country selected to attend the camp, where they will compete and train under Hockey Canada staff as they vie for a spot on one of two Canadian teams that will compete at the 2026 U17 World Challenge later this year.

Prud'homme, Vanacker, and Godick each bring a unique skill set to the Frontenacs and have already generated plenty of excitement following their selections in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection. Their invitations to Hockey Canada's national camp further reinforce the high-end talent and potential they possess as they prepare to begin their OHL careers.

The five-day camp will feature on-ice practices, intra-squad competition, off-ice testing, and development sessions, while Hockey Canada evaluates players ahead of the 2026 U17 World Challenge.

Snyder earned his invitation after an outstanding performance at the 2026 USA Hockey Boys National 17 Festival, where he finished third in tournament scoring with 11 points in six games. His offensive production helped solidify his status as one of the top American-born prospects eligible for the 2027 NHL Draft.

The Pittsburgh, PA native continues to build momentum heading into his sophomore OHL season with the Frontenacs after an impressive rookie campaign. His selection to the Hlinka Gretzky Cup camp is another milestone in what has been a strong offseason and provides an opportunity to showcase his talent against many of the world's top draft-eligible players.

The tournament, which showcases many of the top under-17 players from around the world, provides Canada's next generation of elite talent with an opportunity to represent their country on the international stage. Lennon will be a member of Team Canada Red's coaching staff, providing video analysis and technical support throughout the event.

Lennon joined the Frontenacs ahead of the 2024-25 season and has played an integral role in the club's hockey operations department. His work in video analysis, game preparation, player development, and scouting has made him a trusted resource for the coaching staff and players alike.

This isn't the first time he's been called upon to represent his country, as ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, Lennon was tapped to do pre-scouting video work for the Men's Canadian Olympic Team.

The 2026 World U17 Challenge will bring together six teams from around the globe, including Team Canada Red, Team Canada White, Team USA, Sweden, Finland, and Czechia, featuring many of the top NHL Draft-eligible players for the coming years.

"Gavin is a right defenceman that has a really good feel with the puck," said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. "He is very shifty and moves well laterally in the offensive zone and can open up a lot of shooting and passing lanes. On the defensive side of the puck, he defends hard and is tough to beat in one-on-one situations, with his mobility. We're happy to welcome Gavin and his family to the hockey club, and continue his development”.

The preseason opens on Sunday, August 30, as the Frontenacs welcome the Ottawa 67's to Slush Puppie Place, with puck drop scheduled for 2:00PM. Just the one preseason home game for the Frontenacs before playing a pair of neutral site games in Cornwall and Stoufville.

The three-game preseason schedule provides the Frontenacs with an opportunity to evaluate returning players and newcomers as the club prepares for the start of the 2026-27 OHL regular season, which gets underway later in September.

"Shane is a big-bodied presence who can do a bit of everything on the blueline," said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. "He's a left-shot defender with great feet that covers a lot of ice and possesses a good active stick when defending. He can make a good first pass and transition the puck effectively. We're excited to have him continue his development here in Kingston. We're happy to welcome Shane and the Roche family into the Frontenacs organization."

"It's so exciting," said Roche. "I've worked my entire hockey career for this moment. I just can't wait to get started and do everything I can to help the team succeed."

"Roman is a versatile player that can slot in anywhere in our forward group," said Frontenacs General Manager Kory Cooper. "He has a relentless compete level and is a high-character teammate who puts the team first. Offensively, he’s an equally strong playmaker and goal scorer, but his overall 200-foot game has very good details for a young player. Roman possesses all the qualities that we look for in a player and we're happy to welcome him and his family to the organization.”

"To hear my name called by the Frontenacs at the first in-person draft since 2000 was an honour," said Vanacker. "Kingston is a great city and all of the people that I've met in the organization so far have been fantastic. Kingston is the perfect place to play and I'm just so excited to start my next chapter."

The Frontenacs went into the draft holding picks No. 104, No. 150 and No. 165. Selections No. 104 and No. 165 were acquired from the Flint Firebirds as part of a pick swap completed prior to the 2026 OHL Priority Selection. Due to having two import forwards already on the roster in Tomas Pobezal and Alex Misiak and the rights to defenceman Adam Goljer, the club has made the choice to pass on all selections this morning. 

Despite holding just two active picks, the CHL Import Draft has become an important avenue for the Frontenacs to bolster their roster and build sustained success. In the last two seasons, Kingston has benefitted greatly from the contributions of several high impact import players, including Slovakian forwards Tomas Pobezal and Alex Misiak, Finnish forward Tuomas Uronen and defenceman Emil Pieniniemi.

Although just here for one season, Uronen and Pieniniemi played pivotal roles in the club's resurgence and playoff success; also representing Finland at the 2025 World Juniors and capturing a silver medal. This past season, Pobezal and Misiak have continued that tradition, bringing skill, international experience and offensive production to the black and gold.

All eyes are on Slovakian defenceman Adam Goljer to see if he'll come over to Kingston this season after being selected in the 2025 CHL Import Draft. The recent second round selection of the LA Kings in the 2026 NHL Draft would be a highly touted addition to the Frontenacs blueline.
