Longtime Rivals Clash once Again
This game features two longtime rivals that will write another chapter in their historic rivalry. Each team may be in different timelines of their respective competitive windows, but both teams are full of talent and there will be no shortage of it on display when these two teams clash on December 20th.
The Frontenacs feature seven NHL affiliated prospects, and while the Petes don’t have NHL talent to boast; they have a couple of future stars that are highly ranked by NHL scouts.

Players to Watch
Kingston: #41 Quinton Burns (D)
He’s the captain of your Kingston Frontenacs and was unfortunately left off the list of 2024 World Junior Camp Invites for Team Canada after attending the Summer Showcase this past July. After a strong four point performance this past Sunday against the Sarnia Sting, you can expect Quinton to want to maintain his pace to show Hockey Canada what they’re missing out on.
Peterborough: #27 Colin Fitzgerald (F)
The Petes’ hometown young stud has come into his own recently. Selected by the Petes third overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, Fitzgerald has really started becoming noticeable in every game he plays, regardless of Peterborough’s lackluster record. Recently named a top prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft, keep your eyes on Fitzgerald to continue his upward progression; especially against a rival in the Frontenacs.
