2026 2nd Round – (FLNT)
2026 6th Round – (BFD)
2028 3rd Round – (BFD) cond

2028 5th Round – (BFD) cond
Brantford Receives:
Caleb Malhotra – F
2028 2nd Round – (KGN)
Malhotra was selected with the 8th overall pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. He elected to skip Frontenacs training camp and report to the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL. Since being selected by the Frontenacs, Caleb has announced his intent to play for Boston University of the NCAA.
“I understood Caleb’s intentions to commit to and play in Chilliwack and the NCAA when we made the selection in April.” said General Manager Kory Cooper. “I made the decision to select him understanding the risk involved, but ultimately thought that the player was too talented to pass on the opportunity to convince him to report to the OHL and Kingston.”
With Caleb being a no show at training camp, and by trading his rights, the Frontenacs receive a compensation first round pick in the 2025 draft (9th overall), along with their original 2025 first round pick.
Cooper continued “We worked diligently through the summer and explored many different avenues to promote Kingston as the best place for Caleb’s development. Despite our best efforts, Caleb and his family landed on the decision to play in Chilliwack this year. With that decision being made, trading his rights became the best course of action for us to recover our first-round pick and additional assets.”
The Frontenacs GM is confident that this will path will lead to success soon. Cooper adds “We have seen this play out with other teams recently, and it has worked out very well for them. Oshawa has done it with Danford and Sennecke, Saginaw has done it with Misa and Parekh, and both of those teams reached their Conference Finals last season with Saginaw winning a Memorial Cup. We have even seen it work well here in Kingston with McKeown and Bennett. There are never any guarantees in hockey, but with a strong 2025 draft class, we see having two first round picks as a great path to success.”
The Kingston Frontenacs 2024-25 season begins on Sept 26 with a visit to Peterborough for a match up with the Petes. The Home Opener takes place on Friday, Sept 27 against the division rival Oshawa Generals. Game time at Slush Puppie Place is 7 PM. Tickets are available at www.kingstonfrontenacs.com.
