Oct. 26/24 vs Guelph: Highlights & Recap
Halloween night was upon us at Sadlon Arena with the Guelph Storm making their lone trip of the year.
The Colts brought the rain down early on the Storm with Brad Gardiner scoring 52 seconds into the game, Bode Stewart with the only assist. Guelph would respond shortly after with Leo Serlin grabbing his first of the season to tie the game at 1. The rest of the period would go scoreless with the Storm controlling the the shots 14-8.
The second period would be all Colts. After scoring his first career goal last night, Parker Vaughan once again found the rebound and put it home, with Aitcheson and Jelsma picking up the helpers. The 6.07 towering defenceman, Gabriel Eliasson seized the chance in the offensive zone and blasted a slapshot from the top of the circle for his second goal of the season, Gardiner and Stewart assisting. A smooth-skating Tristan Bertucci would find himself on a two-on-one with Parker Vaughan and was able to squeak it through the goaltender to net his first as a Colt.
Brad Gardiner seems to score in bunches lately and he continued so 34 seconds into the final frame. The overage experience of Dalyn Wakely behind the Storm net led to a turnover with him connecting with Brad Gardiner for his 8th of the campaign. The Dallas Stars prospects continued to shine with Emil Hemming getting a tip from the slot to put up the sixth goal of the night, making it back-to-back nights with six goals for the Colts.
With the win, the Colts hold an 8-4-0-0 record and currently sit third in the Eastern Conference.
