Robert Proner Joins Colts from Saginaw
Barrie, ON– Barrie Colts General Manager & Head Scout Jason Ford announced tonight that they have completed a trade with the Western Conference, Saginaw Spirit.
The Colts acquire Defensemen, Robert Proner from the Saginaw Spirit in exchange for a 5th Round pick in 2018 (Erie).
Proner, who was drafted by the Sprit in the 2nd Round (30th overall) of the 2015 OHL draft has played parts of two seasons with Saginaw. The native of Oakville, ON has played in 32 OHL games, collecting 2 goals and 3 assists.
The 6 foot 2 defenseman joins the club one day after the team trade 1997 born defenseman Cam Lizotte to the Erie Otters.
This was the final trade made before the 2017 trade deadline for the Barrie Colts.
