1ST STAR: BEN HAWERCHUK (BARRIE COLTS):
Overage forward Ben Hawerchuk continued a four-game point streak, scoring twice and adding an assist as the Barrie Colts took a 4-2 win in Peterborough. Hawerchuk’s third three-point game of the season helped the Colts pick up two big points, climbing to within five points of the eighth place Petes in the Eastern Conference. A 20-year-old native of King City, Ont. and the son of Colts head coach Dale Hawerchuk, Ben was a sixth round pick of Barrie in 2014 from the Toronto Titans Minor Midgets. He has 36 points (21-15–36) over 49 games this season.

2ND STAR: KAI EDMONDS (BARRIE COLTS):
Sophomore netminder Kai Edmonds made 30 saves, backstopping the Barrie Colts past the Peterborough Petes 4-2 on the road. The Colts were outshot 32-17 but Edmonds stood tall, improving to 9-10-1-0 with a 3.08 goals-against average and .904 save percentage through 24 game this season. The 18-year-old product of Carlsbad Springs, Ont. was Barrie’s 11th round pick in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection from the Cumberland Grads Midget AAA team.

3RD STAR: MATTHEW STRUTHERS (NORTH BAY BATTALION):
Overtime hero Matthew Struthers helped the North Bay Battalion overcome the northern rival Soo Greyhounds 4-3 on home ice, connecting with Brad Chenier and Justin Brazeau two minutes into the extra frame. Struthers has 62 points (24-38–62) over 47 games and has points in four of his last five contests. The 19-year-old from Milton, Ont. is in the midst of his fourth OHL season, splitting time between North Bay and Owen Sound. The Halton Hurricanes Minor Midget grad attended rookie camp with the Carolina Hurricanes in September.
