Colts Seeking Videographer for Upcoming Season
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Barrie Colts are looking for a creative and motivated Videographer & Editor to join our team for the 2026–27 Ontario Hockey League season. Working closely with our Communications and Media Relations Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the organization’s visual identity and storytelling — from opening night through a potential 2027 playoff run.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
From game night to game-day content, this role covers the full spectrum of video production in a live OHL environment. The successful candidate will shoot, edit, and deliver a wide range of content — including highlights, player features, interviews, hype reels, and promotional videos — optimized for social media, the team website, and in-arena video boards.
They will provide full coverage at all home games and attend team events, including practices, community appearances, and select away games. Beyond game coverage, this role involves developing platform-specific content for Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube, creating partnership videos and in-arena elements, and supporting marquee events such as Media Day. Coordinating shoots with players and coaches, as well as ongoing digital asset management and archiving, are also key parts of the role.

BUILT BY CREATORS
The Barrie Colts have been fortunate to have talented creators leave a lasting impact on the organization’s digital presence and storytelling. Former Colts Videographer Brennen Suni helped raise the standard for digital content with Gates Open, the first long-form documentary series in franchise history. The series provided fans with unprecedented access to the team and showcased the power of authentic, cinematic storytelling within junior hockey.
