Barrie Colts Trade Ben Hrebik to the Guelph Storm
The Barrie Colts have traded goaltender Ben Hrebik to the Guelph Storm, the club announced today.
Hrebik recently informed the organization that he has elected not to attend his committed NCAA program and will instead continue his career in the Ontario Hockey League. In light of that decision, the Colts worked to facilitate a trade that places him with a competitive Guelph Storm club positioned to contend for both the OHL Championship and a Memorial Cup
“Ben has been a great teammate and a hard worker for us, and we’re grateful for everything he brought to this room,” said Colts General Manager Marty Williamson. “Guelph is a great fit for him, and knowing what he’s capable of, we think he’s going to make some noise in that Memorial Cup race. We wish him nothing but the best.”
The Barrie Colts thank Ben Hrebik for his contributions to the organization and wish him continued success with the Guelph Storm.
