Anthony Figliomeni Named ManchuWOK Player of the Week

The Barrie Colts have named Anthony Figliomeni the ManchuWOK Player of the Week following a two-game stretch that saw the forward make an immediate impact on the scoresheet.

Figliomeni recorded a goal and an assist over the Colts’ games this week, picking up at least one point in each contest.

The week began with Figliomeni setting up Evan Passmore for the opening goal against the Oshawa Generals. He followed that performance by scoring his first goal as a Barrie Colt on Thursday night against the Niagara IceDogs.

With the Colts trailing late in the second period, Figliomeni found the back of the net to tie the game at one. The goal marked an important milestone for the forward in his first season wearing Colts blue and gold.

Although Niagara ultimately earned the 2–1 victory in overtime, Figliomeni’s goal helped the Colts secure their first point of the season.

Figliomeni’s two-point week puts him among the Colts’ leading scorers during the early portion of the season, while his ability to contribute in consecutive games has made him an important part of Barrie’s attack.

The ManchuWOK Player of the Week honour caps off a week that included a milestone moment for Figliomeni — his first goal as a Colt — and a pair of strong offensive performances.

Congratulations Figs on being named this week’s ManchuWOK Player of the Week!
