BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. <\/strong>Brantford Bulldogs General Manager Spencer Hyman today announced the acquisition of a series of OHL Priority Draft Selections; NB 2nd<\/sup> (\u201926), GUE 3rd<\/sup> (\u201928), LDN 4th<\/sup> (\u201928), GUE 5th<\/sup> (\u201929), BRAM 12th<\/sup> (\u201928) cond. in exchange for import defenseman Vladimir Dravecky & the playing rights to import forward Adrien Bartovic.<\/p>\n

The North Bay 2nd<\/sup> round selection acquired in the 2026 OHL Draft is the 31st<\/sup> overall selection, giving the Bulldogs picks at 20, 31 & 40 in the first two rounds.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dravecky, the Trinec, CZE product, was selected in 50th<\/sup> overall by the Bulldogs in the 2025 CHL Import Draft and arrived to the team from the Rogle BK team in Sweden where he earned his way into playing pro games in a second country, having played for HC Kosice in Slovakia\u2019s top level as well. Dravecky skated in 58 games for the Bulldogs in the 2025-26 season posting 9 goals & 19 assists for 28 points, skating to a plus-24 rating while adding 3 assists in 11 playoff games.<\/p>\n

Bartovic, of Pardubice, CZE, was selected 42nd<\/sup> overall in the 2024 CHL Import Draft from the Malmo Redhawks program in Sweden. After missing the 2024-25 season, Bartovic returned with a strong 2025-26 season posting 20 goals & 25 assists for 45 points in 29 games with Liberec U20 side earning an opportunity to step to the professional level in Slovakia with Vlci Zilina posting 3 goals and an assist in 17 games.<\/p>\n

The Brantford Bulldogs added three prospects to the organization on Monday through the OHL U18 Draft, selecting Michael Ball, Sophie Jovanovic & Tristan Walker.<\/p>\n

On the clock with the 20th overall selection in the first round, the Bulldogs were extremely happy to see defenseman Michael Ball of the Waterloo Wolves U18 AAA program available. Ball, the left-shot defenseman from Waterloo, ON, was exceptional in his U18 season posting 19 goals & 65 assists for 84 points in 82 games across all competitions in the 2025-26 season while skating to a plus-72 rating, earning recognition in the ALLIANCE U18 AAA Prospects Game. Ball was equally impressive in the playoffs with 3 goals & 10 assists for 13 points in 11 post-season contests. The smooth skating rearguard built on his U18 success, earning a 5 game look in the GOHL with the Waterloo Siskins where he recorded an assist.<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs made history with the 40th overall selection, calling Sophie Jovanovic’s name making the Toronto Nationals U18 AAA netminder the first ever female selected in the OHL U18 Draft. Jovanovic already holds a commitment to the University of Wisconsin and has been otherworldly between the pipes in the GTHL at both the U16 & U18 levels. With the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA, Jovanovic racked up a 10-1-3 record with a 1.71 GAA leading the way for the Marlboros program. Widely seen as part of the future of the Team Canada program, Jovanovic will get an opportunity to earn her way towards more history in Brantford.<\/p>\n

When asked her thoughts on being selected to the Bulldogs in the U18 Draft, Sophie Jovanovic stated;<\/p>\n

The Bulldogs went local with the final pick of the OHL U18 Draft, selecting towering defenseman Tristan Walker from the Brantford 99ers U18 AAA program. BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. <\/strong>Brantford Bulldogs General Manager Spencer Hyman today announced the acquisition of St. Lawrence commit, forward Camden McCuaig & SAG 6th<\/sup> (\u201826) in exchange for forward Ryan Chamberlain, NB 3rd<\/sup> (\u201927) & BFD 6th<\/sup> (\u201927).<\/p>\n

McCuaig, of Williamstown, ON, is a product of the Eastern Ontario Wild AAA program, where the 6\u20194\u201d\/196 centerman posted 17 goals & 18 assists across 30 HEO league games in his U16 season leading to his selection in the 5th<\/sup> round, 87th<\/sup> overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection Draft by Kingston. McCuaig moved to the CCHL for his rookie junior season, playing with the Cornwall Colts who selected the towering power forward 3rd<\/sup> overall in the 2024 CCHL Draft. McCuaig made an immediate impact in Cornwall, posting 16 goals & 14 assists for 30 points in 45 games as a rookie, good for 3rd<\/sup> on the Colts, while earning his first OHL callup skating in 4 games with the Frontenacs. McCuaig took a big step forward in the 2025-26 season, leading the Colts in points-per-game posting 18 goals & 24 assists for 42 points in 40 games while skating in 17 games for the Frontenacs posting 3 goals & 3 assists for 6 points.<\/p>\n

With the 2026 6th<\/sup> round pick acquired in the trade, the Bulldogs now hold 15 picks, with 7 in the first 7 rounds, of the draft to be held in Kingston on June 12th<\/sup> & 13th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Chamberlain, of Peterborough, ON, spent the season split between the Bulldogs and Brantford Titans of the GOHL. The speedy left-shot forward notched 6 goals & 13 assists for 19 points in 27 GOHL games while posting two assists in 17 games with the Bulldogs. The graduate of the Toronto Marlboros AAA program was originally Sarnia\u2019s 5th<\/sup> round selection, 101st<\/sup> overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection Draft.<\/p>\n

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. <\/strong>Brantford Bulldogs General Manager Spencer Hyman today announced the naming of Michael Babcock as the 6th<\/sup> head coach in franchise history making Babcock the youngest to lead the Bulldogs bench.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Babcock, 31, has called Saskatoon home but been a journey through the hockey world. Growing up in Michigan, Babcock played for both the Litte Ceasars AAA program and legendary Detroit Catholic Central high school before a stint with the USNTDP led to two seasons in the USHL culminating in a season as captain of the Fargo Force in the 2014-15 season. After graduating from the junior level, Babcock spent 4 years at Merrimack College where he earned his business degree while playing four seasons and again serving as captain and named to the Hockey East All-Academic team in 2015-16. Babcock moved to Europe for a season playing for Amiens in France\u2019s Ligue Magnus winning the French Cup in the 2019-20 season before turning his attention to coaching.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Reciving his first call to the bench in 2021-22, Babcock spent two seasons with the University of Saskatchewan as assistant coach while earning his MBA in the process. In 2023, Babcock joined the Ottawa Senators briefly in an assistant\/development coach role before moving to the St. Louis Blues for a pair of seasons as the team\u2019s skills coach, including working with former AHL Bulldogs head coach Claude Julien. For the 2025-26 season, Babcock moved to San Diego where he served as assistant coach with the AHL\u2019s San Diego Gulls.<\/p>\n

Babcock is the son of legendary coach of Triple Gold Club member and Stanley Cup Champion Mike Babcock, who captured hockey\u2019s ultimate prize in 2008 with the Detroit Red Wings, along with Olympic Gold Medals in 2010 & 2014.<\/p>\n

Good, the Ajax, ON, product, was originally selected in the 7th<\/sup> round, 125th<\/sup> overall, by the Erie Otters in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Good\u2019s draft selection was a reflection of a commitment both to St. Andrew\u2019s College and an NCAA path that has led to a commitment to Merrimack Collge. Good led a Markham Waxers U16 AAA program that featured OHLers Nathan Aspinall, Owen Griffin & Frankie Marrelli, posting 23 goals & 21 assists for 44 points in 25 OMHA league games, followed by 3 goals & 14 assists for 17 points in just 8 playoff games. The 5\u201910\u201d, 172lbs left-shot forward moved on to star at St. Andrew\u2019s College, forming a dynamic duo with NHL 1st<\/sup> round selection Dean Letourneau with Good an incredible 44 goals & 101 assists for 145 points in 70 games across all competitions in the 2023-24 season while serving as an assistant captain. Good moved to the BCHL from there with the Brooks Bandits where he won the BCHL Championship as a rookie before becoming a dominant force in the 2025-26 season. Leading the Bandits through the regular season, Good posted 22 goals and a league leading 48 assists for 70 points across 54 games, Good had his biggest moment in the post season recording the overtime winner in Game 5 to capture Brooks\u2019 2nd<\/sup> straight BCHL Championship.<\/p>\n

Lappalainen, the product of Tecumseh, ON, was originally selected in the 3rd<\/sup> round, 63rd<\/sup> overall in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection Draft coming off a pair of outstanding seasons with the Sun County Panthers U15 & U16 AAA program which saw Lappalainen help lead his teams to back to back ALLIANCE championships, scoring at better than a goal per game over those seasons. In the 2024-25 season, Lappalainen\u2019s dynamic duo with Jaakko Wysick was at it\u2019s finest with Lappalainen posting 30 goals & 23 assists for 53 points in 28 ALLIANCE league games, followed by 7 goals & 4 assists for 11 points in 10 ALLIANCE playoff games on route to the Panthers \u201909 group 2nd<\/sup> straight championship.<\/p>\n

In his rookie junior season, the 6\u20190\u201d\/178 left shot forward continued to show his ability to produce, with the Leamington Flyers in the OJHL. Notching 14 goals & 21 assists for 35 points in 49 games, placing him 7th<\/sup> among all U17 skaters in the league. Lappalainen skated in one game with the Firebirds in the 2025-26 season, posting a plus-1 raiting.<\/p>\n

Komadoski, a St. Louis, MO, product, skated in 50 games for the Flint Firebirds as a rookie in the 2025-26 season collecting 3 assists and bringing a physicality and intensity to the blueline. The 6\u20194\u201d\/210 right-shot rearguard, won a T1EHL 15U Championship in the 2023-24 season with the St. Louis AAA Blues where he posted 2 goals & 37 assists for 39 points on the season. Komadoski moved from his St. Louis home to Woonsocket, RI to play his 16U season with Mount St. Charles Academy posting 20 assists in 57 games in the 2024-25 season, leading to his signing by the Flint Firebirds on June 13th<\/sup>, 2025.<\/p>\n

Kwajah, a Hamilton, ON product, was originally selected in the 6th<\/sup> round, 104th<\/sup> overall in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection Draft after being signed to a 1st<\/sup> round tender in the USHL by the Madison Capitols. The offensively minded 6\u20190\u201d\/177 right-shot rearguard moved to the USHL for the 2024-25 season collecting 6 goals & 10 assists for 16 ponts in 41 games while skating to a plus-4 rating earning recognition on the USHL All-Rookie Team. Kwajah nearly doubled his output in the 2026-27 season collecting a team leading 7 goals from the blueline with 20 assists for 27 points over 55 games lead to Kwajah being on both the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term and Final rankings ahead of the 2026 NHL Draft.<\/p>\n

Leenders, from Nanticoke, ON, was originally selected in the 2nd<\/sup> round, 32nd<\/sup> overall by the, then, Mississauga Steelheads in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft, and was acquired by the Bulldogs on August 29th<\/sup>, 2024 after two seasons with the Steelheads. Leenders arrived in Brantford coming off a season where he won gold medals at both the Hlinka-Gretzky & U18 WHC and set statistical highmarks in both seasons with the Bulldogs. A 3.11\/.910 stat line with a 31-14-3-0 record in 48 games in 2024-25 was followed by a 2.69\/.910 stat line with a 27-5-4-2 record in the 2025-26 season. Leenders also ran a 14-7 playoff record with the Bulldogs, including a 10-4 mark with a 2.41\/.906 in the 2026 playoffs.<\/p>\n

Collecting 8 goals & 16 assists for 24 points in 31 OMHA league games, Christie followed it up with 10 points across 8 playoff games, earning his selection by the Bulldogs. Spending the 2025-26 season with the affiliated Brantford Titans of the GOHL, Christie flashed his two-way ability with 7 goals & 20 assists for 27 points in 38 games while racking up 107 penalty minutes on the season. Christie made his OHL debut in the 2025-26 season, skating in 9 games with the Bulldogs, filling in both as a forward and defenseman when called upon.<\/p>\n

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO. <\/strong>Brantford Bulldogs General Manager Spencer Hyman today announced a pair of trades with the Erie Otters, the acquisition of the playing rights of forward Jack Good for BFD 13th<\/sup> (\u201928) along with a series of four OHL Priority Draft selections; NB 3rd<\/sup> (\u201927), SAG 3rd<\/sup> (\u201927), SAR 4th<\/sup> (\u201926), ER 5th<\/sup> (\u201929) in exchange for goaltender David Egorov.<\/p>\n

Good, the Ajax, ON, product, was originally selected in the 7th<\/sup> round, 125th<\/sup> overall, by the Erie Otters in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Good\u2019s draft selection was a reflection of a commitment both to St. Andrew\u2019s College and an NCAA path that has led to a commitment to Merrimack Collge. The 5\u201910\u201d, 172lbs left-shot forward moved on to star at St. Andrew\u2019s College, posting an incredible 44 goals & 101 assists for 145 points in 70 games across all competitions in the 2023-24 season while serving as an assistant captain. Good moved to the BCHL from there with the Brooks Bandits where he won the BCHL Championship as a rookie before becoming a dominant force in the 2025-26 season. Leading the Bandits through the regular season, Good posted 22 goals and a league leading 48 assists for 70 points across 54 games, Good had his biggest moment in the post season recording the overtime winner in Game 5 to capture Brooks\u2019 2nd<\/sup> straight BCHL Championship.<\/p>\n

Egorov, from Ottawa, ON, was selected in the 4th<\/sup> round, 64th<\/sup> overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection Draft, starring at the junior level with the, then, Hamilton Kilty B\u2019s in 2022-23, Egorov was brilliant posting with 30 wins between the regular season & playoffs, including a 2.01\/.927 stat line over 17 playoff starts. Egorov stepped up to the OHL full-time for the 2023-24 season and has never looked back. \u201cBig Save Dave\u201d played in 77 games for the Bulldogs over his 4 seasons, posting a 3.04\/.901 stat line with a 44-16-7-0 record over that span.<\/p>\n
