BULLDOGS SELECT 3 PLAYERS IN THE 2018 UNDER 18 PRIORITY SELECTION

Round 1 #18 Overall

Damon Beaver

Position: Goalie

Team: Whitby Wildcats Midget AAA, OMHA-ETA

Height: 5’9”

Weight: 138 lbs

 

The Hamilton Bulldogs used their 1st round pick in the 2018 OHL Under 18 Priority Selection (18th overall) to take goaltender Damon Beaver of the Whitby Wildcats Midgets.

Beaver recorded a 1.76 goals against average to go along with 5 shutouts in 26 games played this past season. His strong play this season warranted him a selection to the ETA Midget All Star Team.

Last season Beaver suited up for the Ajax/Pickering Raiders Minor Midgets, where he posted a 1.56 goals against average over 18 games. He also played in 2 OHL Cup games putting up a 2.37 goals against average and a .928 save percentage.

 

Round 2 #38 Overall

Sean Chisholm

Position: Left Wing

Team: Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Midget AAA, OMHA-SCTA

Height: 5’11.5”

Weight: 178 lbs

 

With their 2nd selection in the 2018 OHL Under 18 Priority Selection (38th overall) the Hamilton Bulldogs selected forward Sean Chisholm of the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Midgets.

Chisholm, the 6’1 Halifax, Nova Scotia native was called up to the Brantford Jr. B 99ers of the GOJHL for 6 games this season where he was unable to record a point.

Last season Chisholm suited up for 36 regular season games for the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs where he potted 17 goals and added 23 assists for a total of 40 points.

 

Round 3 #52 Overall

Nick Cordeiro

Position: Centre

Team: Mississauga Rebels Midget AAA, GTHL

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 175 lbs

 

Since the Bulldogs selected a goaltender with their first pick, the Bulldogs were awarded an additional pick in the 2018 OHL Under 18 Priority Selection.

With their 3rd pick (52nd overall) the Bulldogs elected to take Nick Cordeiro of the Mississauga Rebels Midgets.

Last season for the Mississauga Senators Cordeiro put up 27 points (9 goals and 18 assists) and recorded 1 assist in 4 OHL Cup games.
