Troops head to Sudbury Friday
BRAMPTON, Ont. – The Battalion is back in action Friday night when it travels to Sudbury to meet the Wolves. Game time at the Sudbury Arena is 7:30 p.m.
The game will be the second of eight meetings this season between the Central Division rivals. The first encounter, at the Bunker on Oct. 14, ended in dramatic fashion, with Jay McClement scoring as time expired in the third period to give the Battalion a 4-3 win.
Since then the Troops have posted a 2-4-1 record and have won two of their last three games, averaging six goals scored in each of their last three outings. The Wolves are 1-6-1 since their visit to Brampton, including a 4-4 tie Tuesday night against the visiting Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds.
The Battalion, which is 2-1-1 all-time at Sudbury, is in third place in the Central, nine points ahead of the Wolves, who are in fifth spot, four points behind the Mississauga IceDogs.
The Troops will be back at the Bunker on Sunday to host Sault Ste. Marie. Game time is 2 p.m.
