OHL Highlights: Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game Jan. 15, 2025

The inaugural Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects Game saw the Eastern Conference triumph in a thrilling 5-4 overtime win over the Western Conference at a sold-out Brantford Civic Centre. Porter Martone (Brampton Steelheads) netted the OT winner off Jake O’Brien’s (Brantford Bulldogs) setup to crown the East champions.

Luca Romano (Kitchener Rangers) opened the scoring, while Shamar Moses (North Bay Battalion) and others traded goals in a back-and-forth showcase. Xander Velliaris (Saginaw Spirit) tied it in the third to force overtime.

O’Brien and Cameron Reid (Kitchener Rangers) were named MVPs, each notching three assists in the star-studded contest.
