The Owen Sound Attack released today a list of winners from the 2025/26 Surveys taken in April of 2026. The Bears invited fans to share their voices as part of a new feedback initiative aimed at enhancing the game-day experience and strengthening the connection between the team and its supporters. “Feedback from our fans in paramount to our success as an organization” said Attack Manager, Marketing and Communications, Greg Hoddinott. “We want to thank all of our fans that took the time to fill out the surveys, we look forward to going through the results and trying to improve the fan experience.” Those who have won are encouraged to come pick their prizes up at the MacVicar and McComb Sutton Realty Attack Box Office located in the lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. Box office hours are Monday through Friday from 9AM to 4PM. A full list of the winners can be found below.

Trio of Bears Among Invites to 2026 NHL Scouting Combine

Owen Sound Attack draft eligible players Pierce Mbuyi, Wesley Royston and Cole Zurawski were among twenty OHL players invited to the 2026 NHL Scouting Combine, which gets underway this week at Key Bank Centre and LECOM Harbour Centre in Buffalo, N.Y. Running from June 1-6, the combine provides all 32 NHL clubs with an opportunity to conduct interviews, medical evaluations, and fitness testing on many of the top prospects eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft, set to take place June 26-27 at KeyBank Center in Buffalo. "Going to the NHL combine is honestly a dream come true, it's a big stepping stone in the draft year process" said Zurawski. "Just to be given the opportunity to showcase myself on a such a big stage is every bit of motivation I need to give my all. I'm just thankful for all the resources that I have received up to this point and hopefully. I can continue this path upwards." "I'm really excited for the opportunity to attend the NHL Scouting Combine" said Mbuyi. "It's a great event, and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with players and personnel that I don't get the chance to see very often during the season. It is a great opportunity to showcase myself in front of the NHL scouts ahead of the draft at the end of the month." "Being invited to the combine is something I’ve worked toward for a long time" said Royston. "I’m grateful for the opportunity and I am looking forward to competing, meeting with teams, and taking another step toward my goal of having my name called at the NHL Draft at the end of this month" A total of 90 players will attend the combine, including 56 forwards, 29 defencemen, and five goaltenders. All invitees are listed in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings of North American and International skaters and goaltenders. Among other OHL invitees are several of the top-ranked prospects for the 2026 NHL Draft, including Chase Reid (Soo Greyhounds), Caleb Malhotra (Brantford Bulldogs), Nikita Klepov (Saginaw Spirit), and Ethan Belchetz (Windsor Spitfires), all of whom ranked inside the top 10 among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings. The Toronto Maple Leafs hold the first overall selection in the 2026 NHL Draft after winning the NHL Draft Lottery on May 5. The San Jose Sharks own the second pick, while the Vancouver Canucks will select third overall. End of an Era: Attack Part Ways with Long-Time GM Dale DeGray

OWEN SOUND, ON – The Owen Sound Attack announced today that the organization and long-time General Manager Dale DeGray have parted ways. DeGray departs the organization as the winningest General Manager in franchise history with 564 wins over 19 seasons with the club. During his tenure, the Attack captured its franchise’s first Ontario Hockey League Championship, earned a berth in the Memorial Cup, and won a Western Conference Championship in 2011, made another Western Conference Championship appearance in 2017 and consistently established themselves as one of the OHL’s premier markets. DeGray was also recognized as the OHL Executive of the Year in 2010-11. Under DeGray’s leadership, the Attack qualified for the playoffs in 15 straight seasons and developed countless players who advanced to professional and collegiate ranks across North America and Europe. The organization also saw numerous players drafted to the National Hockey League during his tenure, including current NHLers Nick Suzuki, Sean Durzi, Jordan Binnington and Jonah Gadjovich. “On behalf of the entire Owen Sound Attack organization, we would like to thank Dale for his dedication, passion and commitment to our hockey club and community over the past 19 years,” said Attack Governor and President Tyler Nother. “Dale played a major role in establishing the Owen Sound Attack as a highly respected organization in the CHL, and his impact on this organization and community will not be forgotten.” DeGray’s tenure also helped cement the Attack’s reputation for player development, community involvement and sustained competitiveness despite operating in one of the OHL’s smallest markets. The Owen Sound Attack would like to sincerely thank Dale DeGray for his years of service and wish him and his family all the best in the future. In a similar move, the Attack has also parted ways with several members of its scouting staff, including Sean LaFortune (Director of Player Development & Personnel), Brian Teakle (Director of Scouting), Chris Cameron (Coordinator of Player Development & Ottawa Area Scout), David Ross (OMHA Scout), Jim Rauth (Windsor/USA Scout) and Noah Acciaccaferri (U18 Scout). The Attack organization extends its sincere thanks to each of them for their years of service, dedication and contributions in helping shape the organization into what it is today.

Attack Cancel 2026 Awards BBQ

OWEN SOUND, ON – The Owen Sound Attack announced today that the club’s annual Awards BBQ, scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026, has been cancelled. The team will announce their 2025-26 season award winners through the teams website and social media in the coming weeks.

With the recent changes to the timing of the OHL Priority Selection and player and staff commitments surrounding the NHL Draft taking place that same weekend, the organization has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event.

Fans who purchased tickets online will automatically receive a refund to the card used at the time of purchase. Fans who paid by cash or credit card in person will be contacted by staff at the MacVicar & McComb Sutton Realty Attack Box Office to arrange their refund.

“Cancelling a community event is not something our organization takes lightly” said Attack Manager, Marketing & Communications Greg Hoddinott. “Unfortunately, with the changes to the OHL draft schedule and the number of our players and staff that will be in attendance at the 2026 NHL Draft in Buffalo, it became evident we were not going to be able to provide our fans with what they have come to expect from this event and as such made the difficult decision to cancel.”

While the Awards BBQ will not take place this year, the Attack are excited to begin planning several new community-focused events throughout the 2026-27 season, with the first opportunities for fans expected to take place around Training Camp in August. Additional details on upcoming events and fan engagement opportunities will be announced later this summer.

Attack Welcome Alessia Failla as Communications and Digital Content Coordinator

The Owen Sound Attack are proud to announce the hiring of Alessia Failla as the team's Communications and Digital Content Coordinator. Failla will serve in the role throughout the 18-month maternity leave period, providing Attack fans with behind-the-scenes coverage of the team and its players. A fourth-year communications student at the University of Ottawa, Failla has experience in social media, digital branding and sports promotion through online media channels. She previously worked as a digital media content intern with the Ontario Hockey League Ottawa 67's. Failla has also worked with the Ottawa Senators, helping manage media accreditation for the Senators and Black Bears games during the 2025-26 hockey season. Her experience also includes assisting with media information packages, statistical documents and post-game relations. "I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with the Owen Sound Attack and am excited to get started and create meaningful content with the team," Failla said. "I know how much the Attack means to the Owen Sound community and feel honoured to contribute to it." Failla will begin her role May 25, 2026 and work alongside current Coordinator Amelia Boyd until June 1, 2026.
