Flying high after their 6-4 victory over the Sudbury Wolves, the Attack will look to finish strong as they round out the season with two games against the Guelph Storm. The Attack sit on the 29 win threshold, just one victory away from a thirteen year long thirty win season streak. The last two games carry a lot of weight not only because of the 30 win season record, but they will also decide the matchups for the first round of the playoffs. The Attack currently sit one point behind the Storm with two more games played. These games could deny the Storm points and get the Attack the important wins they need to end the season strong.
Thursday, Mar 21st, 2024, 7:00pm @ Guelph Storm / Saturday Mar 23rd, 2024, 4:00pm vs Guelph (RogersTV – 53, CHLtv)
The Attack will head to Guelph on Thursday to take on the Storm, and will come back to the Bayshore to defend home ice against them for an early Saturday night tilt at 4:00pm. The Guelph Storm are led by forwards Luchanko (G20 A51), Bowman (G34 A33), and Karabela (G22 A29). The Attacks top three forwards currently are, Goure (G33 A58), Burroughs (G30 A43) , and Sedley (G9 A52). Another player to note is Attack captain Colby Barlow who now sits at 37 goals on the season after his hat-trick Sunday night against the Wolves. Storm starting goaltender, Brayden Gillespie has a save percentage of (.898) compared to the Attacks’ Carter George at (.910). Both of Guelphs special teams stand in the bottom half of the league. The Attack will look to out score the Storm early to force them out of their defensive style of play. Expect a strong effort from both teams, as these games could decide the future of their playoffs.
