Thanks the the generous support of Attack fans and sponsors including our title sponsors Christine and Steve Sgro, GMAN C.A.R.E.S. and the Attack are thrilled to announce a total of $63,704 raised.
This total includes just under $6000 in the game night bucket pass, over $22,000 in online fundraising auctions including jerseys and vacation packages, and over $10,000 on silent auction items.
“Once again Attack fans showed that they come out in droves to support local initiatives like GMAN C.A.R.E.S.” said Attack Community Relations Coordinator Evan Longland, “With a thrilling shootout win in the midst of a playoff push, the night and fundraising campaign could not have been more successful on or off the ice. I would like to thank the Websters, Christie and Todd, for both sharing their story with us and for the incredible effort behind the scenes to make this such a successful night. Both Todd and Christie, along with their family and support network of volunteers made this into the night it was. They showed how Grey-Bruce and Owen Sound rally behind great people in our community, and with GMAN C.A.R.E.S. are going to fill a need for so many in this area through their disordered eating work going forward.”
Todd and Christie Webster and the Board of Directors for GMAN C.A.R.E.S. would like to sincerely thank the Owen Sound Attack organization as well as the local community for their tremendous support of this grassroots organization. The charity game on March 1, 2025, was an incredible success and truly will help us move forward in helping youth in Grey Bruce with disordered eating. We have made many connections in the region and have partnered with the FREEDcan team at CHEO Research Institute. Phase 1 of the program will focus on education and awareness of eating disorders in youth. Stay tuned as it rolls out in Grey-Bruce this year!
