Gibson Steps Down, Attack Begin Search for Goaltending Coach
The Owen Sound Attack announced today that Goaltending Coach Paul Gibson has stepped down from his role with the team to pursue other opportunities.
Gibson joined the team at the start of the 2023-24 season and was integral in helping Carter George continue to develop his game and win several accolades in his first season with the Attack.
“I want to thank the Owen Sound Attack organization, Dale DeGray, management and ownership, Coaching staff, players and community for my time and opportunity with the team” said Gibson. “I personally want to thank last year’s goaltenders Carter and Corbin for their dedication and hard work towards their craft. I enjoyed my time and wish Owen Sound all the best this coming season and moving forward.”
“We would like to wish Paul all the best moving forward in his endeavours. He has been fantastic in the short time he’s been with us” said Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray. “He is a tremendous Goalie Coach and a great person. He will be missed by the entire staff that has worked with him. I know he will have success as he moves along in his coaching journey.”
The Attack will now begin the search to fill the now vacant goaltending coach position ahead of training camp which is set to start on Monday, August 26, 2024. All interested individuals should contact Attack General Manager Dale DeGray directly at [email protected].
