Attack Provide Over $34,000 for 2024-25 Volunteer Ushers
The Owen Sound Attack are proud to share the result of the 2024-25 volunteer usher program which raised $34,250 for local community groups, charities and fundraisers.
Now in the 3rd year of the program, the Attack’s volunteer usher initiative provides volunteer groups the chance to raise money for their causes by ushering at Owen Sound Attack home games throughout the regular season and playoffs. This year the Attack hosted 19 different community groups across 36 home games, with 685 ushers each fundraising $50 a night for their purposes.
To date the program has provided $92,750 to local groups helping to support their various causes. Included in this year’s fundraising are the local Scenic City Lion’s Club, Rotary Club of Owen Sound, Owen Sound Kiwanis Club, Active Lifestyles Seniors Centre, the Optimist Club of Sydenham and District, Elmwood Chamber of Commerce, Tara Agricultural Society, Owen Sound Emancipation Festival, amongst others.
The Attack are happy to continue to support all of our local community partners, and appreciate the effort of all volunteers that come out and help make the Bayshore a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all our fans. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to a new look arena in the fall for another incredible season of Attack hockey.
New and returning usher groups can volunteer for Attack games by emailing Attack Coordinator of Community Relations, Evan Longland at [email protected]. You can read more details on the usher program on the Attack website here. Sign up for Attack ushering will be available once the 2025-26 OHL schedule is released this Summer.
