Attack Launch Fundraising Campaign With Local GMAN C.A.R.E.S. Charity
The Owen Sound Attack are excited to announce the beginning of their fundraising campaign to support ‘GMAN C.A.R.E.S.’, a local charity focusing on servicing youth with eating disorders in Grey Bruce.
Starting tonight, Wednesday February 5th, the Attack will kick off the fundraising campaign with a celebrity serve event at East Side Mario’s in Owen Sound. You can meet your favourite Attack players, learn about GMAN C.A.R.E.S. and enjoy great food while supporting the campaign through a percentage of your meal and donations from 6-8pm.
The Attack also have several merchandise items available in-person at the Attack Shack that you can purchase and pre-order to pick up on March 1st.
You can purchase tickets now for the GMAN C.A.R.E.S. Charity Game on March 1st at tickets.attackhockey.com or at the MacVicar and McComb Sutton-Sound Realty Attack Box Office. Game components include a Bucket Pass presented by Locking Business Furnishings, Puck Toss presented by Driver Seat, the McArthur Tire Tire Roll along with a silent auction, and an online jersey auction supported by Barry’s Construction with additional silent auction items on the Attack’s Official DASH page (leading up to, and following the game on March 1st). About GMAN C.A.R.E.S.
GMAN C.A.R.E.S. is a grassroots program that will focus on early identification and intervention
of youth with disordered eating in Grey Bruce. This was Geoffrey Webster’s, AKA GMAN, dying
wish to have care closer to home. Geoffrey developed an unusual insight and understanding of
his illness and sought to make a difference for others facing disordered eating.
