Attack Import Pick Varosyan Signs Education & Development Agreement
The Owen Sound Attack are excited to announce that they have signed Rafik Varosyan to an OHL Education and Development agreement ahead of the 2024-25 season. Varosyan is the Attack second round pick from the 2024 CHL Import draft.
Hailing from Chuguyevka, Russia, Varosyan is a six-foot, 179 pound winger who split last season between the Admiral Vladivostok Under-17, under-18 programs and the Taiwan Primorsky Krai of the MHL. Varosyan combine all three stops for 30 goals and 29 assists in 55 games.
“I am excited to have signed with the Attack and am excited to be in Owen Sound” said Varosyan when asked about joining the club. “The guys have been great and have made me feel a part of the team. I am enjoying training and learning as we prepare for the regular season.”
“We were excited to get Rafik with our 2nd round pick in the import draft. He’s a smooth skating offensive player that we should all expect to see offensive output from once he adjusts to the smaller ice surfaces of the OHL” said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray when asked about signing Varosyan. “We look forward to seeing his progress throughout the season and would like to welcome Rafik and his family to the Attack family.”
