Job Title: PROFESSIONAL SKATING COACH
The Owen Sound Attack are seeking a Professional Skating Coach to support the individual development of our players. The successful candidate will bring expertise in skating biomechanics, movement and loading patterns, and skill acquisition, with an emphasis on developing adaptable skating solutions that transfer to game performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assess individual skating mechanics, movement patterns, and development needs.
- Design and deliver individualized skating development plans.
- Develop acceleration, speed, deceleration, edge control, transitions, change of direction, balance, and movement efficiency.
- Apply biomechanical principles and an understanding of force application, sequencing, and loading patterns to skating development.
- Open to learning how to create representative learning environments that promote perception, adaptability, problem-solving, and movement exploration.
- Connect skating development to positional demands and game situations.
- Collaborate with coaching, performance, medical, and hockey operations staff.
- Monitor player development and adjust interventions throughout the season.
Qualifications:
- Experience developing high-performance hockey players.
- Advanced understanding of skating biomechanics, and movement/loading patterns.
- Strong understanding of skill acquisition, specifically constraints-led coaching.
- Ability to individualize development based on the athlete + performance environment.
- Strong teaching, communication, observation, and collaboration skills.
- Experience within major junior, professional, collegiate, national-team, or comparable high-performance hockey is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in hockey skill development and skill acquisition, with an emphasis on developing adaptable skills that transfer to game performance through the Constraint-Led Approach.
Responsibilities:
- Assess individual player skill profiles and development needs.
- Design and deliver individualized skill development plans.
- Apply skill acquisition principles to develop technical ability within representative hockey environments.
- Utilize a constraints-led approach to create learning environments that promote perception, decision-making, adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving.
- Connect skill development to positional demands and game situations.
- Collaborate with coaching, performance, medical, and hockey operations staff.
- Monitor player development and adjust interventions throughout the season.
Qualifications:
- Experience developing high-performance hockey players.
- Advanced understanding of hockey skill development and technical skill execution.
- Strong understanding of skill acquisition, specifically constraints-led coaching.
- Ability to individualize development based on the athlete + performance environment.

Job Title: HOCKEY OPS ANALYST (INTERN)
The Owen Sound Attack are seeking two Hockey Operations Analyst Interns to support our Hockey Operations department across a variety of different applications.
Responsibilities
- Support the collection, organization, and analysis of hockey operations data.
- Assist with player and team performance analysis throughout the season.
- Assist with video analysis, tagging, and the development of player and team reports.
- Build concise reports, visualizations, & presentations for the hockey operations staff.
- Support research projects related to player evaluation, development, team performance, and organizational strategy.
- Assist with maintaining internal databases, workflows, and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with coaching, scouting, player development, and hockey operations staff on department projects.
Qualifications:
- Strong interest in hockey analytics, player evaluation, and hockey operations.
- Understanding of hockey concepts, tactics, and performance indicators.
- Experience working with data, visualization tools, video, or statistical analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to translate information into practical insights.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing within a collaborative hockey operations environment.
- Previous experience in hockey, sport analytics, data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field is considered an asset.
