Attack Face Colts on Wednesday Night in Pre-Season Rematch
The Owen Sound Attack will hit the Bayshore ice for game action for the first time this pre-season against the Barrie Colts on Wednesday night at 7pm. This will be the rematch of the two team’s annual Labour Day game that saw the Colts come out on top 4-3. Game time is set for 7pm with the game being carried on both Rogers TV Grey County and streamed on CHLtv.
The Colts head into the mid-week affair winners of their last three games and sporting a 3-1-0-0 records, while the Attack are 0-1-0-1 record this pre-season, having dropped a 3-2 shootout decision to the North Bay Battalion back on September 8. With NHL rookie camps winding down and decisions still to be made by NHL clubs a total of 12 players between the two teams are question marks for Wednesday’s matchup. That being said key players will still be in the line up for both sides with Nolan Newton and Zach Wigle still available to the Colts and Landen Hookey, Taos Jordan, Harry Nansi and Ben Cormier among the list of available Attack players. With standout goaltender Carter George away this past week, the Attack have had Owen Sound native and Walkerton Capitals Jr C goalie Noah Lundgren helping out at practice. It is expected that if George remains with the Kings and is not available for Wednesday’s game that Lundgren will fill in as the team’s back up goalie against the Colts.
After Wednesday night the Attack will close out their pre-season schedule against the North Bay Battalion on Sunday, September 22 at 2pm at the Bayshore. Prior to the game the Attack will be holding their annual town hall meeting with General Manager Dale DeGray and Head Coach Scott Wray prior to the game in Shore Room 2 starting at 12pm. Following the game, Attack players will be on the ice for a skate with fans similar to their normal regular season Sunday games. Season Ticket Members are reminded that they have a pre-season ticket voucher in their my accounts that can be used for one of these games and that season ticket gift packages are available for pick up at the Bayshore.
Tickets for both games are available for purchase at the MacVicar and McComb Sutton Realty Attack Box Office in person, over the phone or online at tickets.attackhockey.com.
