2024 OHL Priority Selection – Day 1 Recap
The Attack began the day with four picks in the first three round of the OHL Priority Selection. Day one of the draft would end with the Attack selecting two Forwards and two Defenceman. Day 2 of the drafts begins at 9:00 am for rounds 4 through 15.
Round 1, Pick 7 – Pierce Mbuyi | LW
GP: 35 | G: 29 | A: 30
Mbuyi is a very competitive skilled forward, and was one of the best players in the GTHL during the second half of the season. He projects to be a top player within the OHL in 2-3 years.
Round 2, Pick 42 – Mason Roy | LD
GP: 34 | G: 2 | A: 26
Roy is described as a steady two-way defenceman, who moves the puck well. He is projected to be a top pairing defenceman once he matures.
Round 3, Pick 51 – Ethan Kindree | C
GP: 33 | G: 22 | A: 29
Kindree is highly competitive and a skilled forwards. He is described to play a hard and heavy game while still producing offensively.
Round 3, Pick 62 – Elliot Arnett | LD
GP: 31 | G: 4 | A: 11
When asked to describe Arnett, many scouts say he is the kind of player that makes life miserable when he’s on the other team. He is a stay at home Defenceman that plays a heavy, gritty game.
