2021 Graduation Week – Kaleb Pearson
Kaleb Pearson, originally taken by the Flint Firebirds 29th overall in the 2017 OHL under-18 Priority Selection was acquired by the Attack prior to the start of the 2018-19 season. In two seasons with the Attack the native of St. Mary’s Ontario has been the most successful player to enter the Ontario Hockey League through its under-18 draft. In 128 regular season games, he recorded 42 goals, 38 assists and 80 points with a plus-25 rating. The 2019-20 season was a career year for Kaleb setting career highs in goals (28), assists (24), points (52) and plus/minus (+22). Kaleb’s 28 goals were good enough for second in team scoring, while finishing in a tie for game winning goals at five with fellow overage forward Barret Kirwin. There is no better example of Pearson’s clutch performance, than his game winner with 1.8 seconds left in overtime on March 5th against the Windsor Spitfires.
From the entire Owen Sound Attack organization, we would like to thank Kaleb for his dedication and leadership and wish him the best in his next step at the University of Prince Edward Island and with the Panthers Men’s Hockey program. You will always have a home in the Bears Den. Once a Bear Always A Bear!
