67’s fall to Generals in overtime
It was all about the rookies on Friday night for the Ottawa 67’s as Marco Rossi scored twice and Jack Quinn added a goal as the 67’s fell 4-3 to the Oshawa Generals in overtime.
While the first-place 67’s saw their latest win streak halted at seven games, the overtime loss marked the 15th-straight game in which the club has picked up at least a point. Ottawa doesn’t have a single regulation loss in its last 15 games.
Kyle MacLean opened the scoring for the Generals in this one, before Rossi, Quinn and then Rossi again struck for the 67’s in the second. The Generals got one back before the second was over courtesy of Giovanni Vallati, while Nico Gross pushed the game to overtime with his third-period goal. Serron Noel scored for Oshawa in overtime to pick up the extra point.
The 67’s close out this two-game road trip when the visit the Barrie Colts on Saturday at 7 p.m.
