Drafted from: Toronto Nationals Minor Midget...won gold with Team Ontario at the 2008 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge...represented Canada at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament.

Jeff played two seasons in the OHL with the Kitchener Rangers. He recorded 51 points in 63 games during his Rookie of the Year season. In 2009-10, he became the youngest player in Rangers' history to score 50 goals. He was selected with the seventh overall pick of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. Skinner recorded 31 goals in his first season with the Hurricanes and won the 2011 Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL Rookie of the Year.
