Game Preview: Battalion at Ottawa
Tonight at 7 p.m. the 67’s start a stretch of four games in six days bookended by two meetings with the North Bay Battalion.

Ottawa presently sits in fifth place of the OHL’s Eastern Conference, tied with Peterborough and Mississauga. The trio of teams is has with 54 points, only three back of North Bay. Ottawa holds the three-way tie breaker, as they boast the most regulation wins.
That close proximity in the standings makes this next two contests versus the Battalion very important, as the Barber Poles could easily slide anywhere from second to seventh after this week.
North Bay has levelled off since losing an 8-2 decision to the 67’s in early January, going 5-5 since then. Ottawa hosted the Battalion at TD Place and scored four goals on each North Bay netminder. In total Jake Kment and Jake Smith gave up an eight spot on 30 Ottawa shots, with each Jake facing an even 15 a piece.
In the other net, Leo Lazarev earned his 15th W this year, a new career high, as he stopped 32 of 34 shots fired by the Battalion.
Both Dante Salituro and Travis Barron recorded three assists in the lopsided victory, whil Nathan Todd and Ben Fanjoy also chipped in with a pair of goals each.
Salituro is currently riding a nine game point streak, collecting seven goals and eight assists over that time. The 67’s points leader also ranks 10th among all OHL scorers with 65 points in 49 games.

Family Day Game
The 67’s Family Day game is set for Monday, February 15 at 2 p.m. for a rematch with the North Bay Battalion. After the game, all kids are invited to hit the ice with the team and grab autographs from your favourite players. So make sure you come early and stay late.
