Defenceman Josh Brady commits to 67’s
The Ottawa 67’s announced, today, that defenceman Josh Brady has signed an Ontario Hockey League scholarship and development agreement with the team.
“Josh is a skilled defenceman, who moves the puck well,” said 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “He has made big strides in his development, and put forth an impressive performance in this year’s training camp.”
Brady, 17, was selected in the 10th round, 190th overall by Ottawa in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. The Peterborough, Ontario native spent the 2022-23 season with the Pembroke Lumber Kings (CCHL), scoring three goals and 15 assists, for 18 points in 44 games.
Prior to arriving in Pembroke, Brady played minor hockey in Peterborough, before suiting up with the Clarington Toros U16 AAA (ETAHL) program in 2021-22.
The 67’s begin their four-game preseason schedule on Sunday, with a 2:00pm visit to the Kingston Frontenacs.

Les 67’s d’Ottawa ont annoncé aujourd’hui que le défenseur Josh Brady a signé une entente de bourse d’études et de développement de la Ligue de hockey de l’Ontario avec l’équipe.
“Josh est un défenseur habile qui bouge bien la rondelle”, a déclaré le directeur général des 67’s, James Boyd. “Il a fait de grands progrès dans son développement et a réalisé une performance impressionnante lors du camp d’entraînement de cette année.
Brady, 17 ans, a été choisi en 10e ronde, 190e au total, par Ottawa lors de la sélection prioritaire de la Ligue de hockey de l’Ontario en 2022. Originaire de Peterborough, en Ontario, il a passé la saison 2022-23 avec les Lumber Kings de Pembroke (CCHL), marquant trois buts et 15 passes, pour 18 points en 44 matchs.
Avant d’arriver à Pembroke, Brady a joué au hockey mineur à Peterborough, avant de se joindre au programme U16 AAA des Toros de Clarington (ETAHL) en 2021-22.
Les 67’s entament leur calendrier de quatre matchs pré-saison dimanche, avec une visite à 14 h aux Frontenacs de Kingston.
