Sunny Sunday road trip to Oshawa
OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa 67’s are back on the road this sunny Sunday, ready to take on the Oshawa Generals for the first time this season at the Tribute Communities Centre. The game is scheduled to start at 6:05 p.m. Fans can watch the action live on Flo Hockey or listen to Kenny Walls’ broadcast on TSN 1200.
The Barber Poles are coming off a dominant 5-1 Halloween victory against the London Knights, with Helsinki native Jasper Kuhta delivering a spooky four-goal performance. This win marked a strong rebound for the team. However, the night took a harsh turn in the second period when defenseman Nolan Jackson suffered a serious leg injury and was taken off the ice. Jackson underwent successful surgery the following morning and is currently recovering comfortably, though there is no set timeline for his return. After the incident, Filip Ekberg scored his third goal of the season on the power play.
The Generals enter tonight’s game on a three-game losing streak, having most recently fallen 6-1 at home to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Their only goal in that game was scored by second-year forward Anthony Figliomeni, marking his first of the season. Oshawa has had a challenging start to the year, with a record of 5-11. Last season, the Generals won six meetings against the Ottawa 67’s. The Barber will also face a familiar face tonight in Charlie Hilton, an Oshawa native and former 67’s winger who was traded to his hometown Generals from the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on October 24. Hilton previously competed against the 2025-2026 Ottawa 67’s during their home opener against Sault Ste. Marie earlier this season.
