MILESTONE: Cooper Foster records 100th career assist
OTTAWA, ON – Ever need a hand? Cooper Foster may be your man, as he has collected his 100th career OHL assist in tonight’s game versus the Flint Firebirds. Cooper Foster collected the landmark assist on Nic Whitehead’s Teddy Bear Toss scoring goal.
Foster becomes just the 86th player in franchise history to tally 100 helpers for the club, and only the 24th to do so since the turn of the century. The product of Sault Ste. Marie, ON, joined the Ottawa 67’s via the 2021 OHL draft, being selected by the organization with 32nd overall.
The last 67’s skater to reach this benchmark was Henry Mews, who collected his 100th assist in a win over the Peterborough Petes on December 29th, 2024. Cooper Foster’s most frequent collaborator was Luca Pinelli, with Foster connecting on 22 of his goals. With over half the season remaining, Foster could have the chance to catch up with Pinelli, who sits as the franchise’s 50th leader in all-time assists with 124.
Foster is in his fifth season as a member of the Ottawa 67’s, having amassed 176 points over 221 games. He entered the game as the team’s leader in points with 30 over 28 games.
