23rd Overall – Ottawa 67’s (via Niagara): Nicolas Whitehead, Centre, Mount St. Charles Academy 15’S
OHL CENTRAL SCOUTING REPORT: “Nicolas is a speedy centre that is always moving and putting pressure on the opposition. He is explosive off the mark and has a top gear that not many others his age do. He has a very good skill set that allows him to take on defenders one on one and create scoring chances. He is a smart player that makes good pass/shot decisions especially on the power play, where he can draw defenders to him and make a good pass to set up a teammate. He is a good 200-foot player that works as hard in his own end as he does with the puck.”
67’s General Manager James Boyd: “Nicolas is a play-making forward, who plays with a great pace. He has been a consistent point producer in his age group, and we are excited to select him.”
46th Overall – Ottawa 67’s (via Kingston): Kaleb Dietsch, Defence, Southern Tier Admirals U16 AAA
Assistant General Manager and Director of Scouting Jan Egert: “Kaleb is a mobile defenceman, who takes pride in his defensive game, and makes a great first pass. We are excited to welcome him to the Ottawa 67’s.”
62nd Overall – Ottawa 67’s: Chase Yanni, Left Wing, Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA
Assistant General Manager and Director of Scouting Jan Egert: “Chase is a goalscorer, with a shoot-first mentality, who plays a gritty style of game. He plays with passion, and raises the intensity of his teammates.”
