GAME RECAP: 67’s fall to Generals on the road
After a Wednesday night walloping by the 67’s, the Oshawa Generals got revenge with a 4-3 win over the Ottawa 67’s in the Barber Poles final road game of the regular season.
A late arrival for the 67’s due to inclement weather translated on the ice as the Oshawa Generals took control in the first period. The Generals led the 67’s in shots 16 to five after 20 minutes. 2026 NHL draft prospect Ryder Fetterolf kept the 67’s alive, making some big saves and stopping all 16 shots in the first.
The Generals would open up the scoring with a power play maker from Onni Kalto. The 67’s would retaliate, with a point shot from Frankie Marrelli. The two teams would exchange two more goals, with Kalto and Jasper Kuhta finishing to keep the teams at 2-2.
The third would ultimately swing the game decisively in favour of the Oshawa Generals with Kalto picking up the hat trick on the power play and Brooks Rogowski getting the insurance marker. Teddy Spitznagel would close the game with his first OHL goal with just 28 seconds in the game. The 67’s would make one final push at the end of the game, with Isaac Gravelle robbing Cooper Foster at the goal line with just seconds to spare to give Oshawa the 4-3 win.
