GAME PREVIEW: 67’s set to clash with Petes to finish January
OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa 67’s (34-9-1-2) will host the Peterborough Petes (26-18-1-2) on Friday at 7 p.m. at TD Place, as they look to continue to roll into February. Fans can also tune in to the game on Rogers TV Channel 22, via Flo Hockey, or listen to TSN 1200 for play-by-play from Kenny Walls.
The Barber Poles are led by Cooper Foster, who has rallied for 12 points over 10 games since the start of the New Year. On the backend, veteran Frankie Marrelli has been on fire as of late, with four points and holding a +9 in his last five games. Meanwhile, 2026 NHL draft prospect Thomas Vandenberg is looking to continue his seven-game point streak, where he’s amassed nine points.
As for the Petes, they are led by Winnipeg Jets prospect Kieron Walton, whose 62 points lead the entire OHL. 2026 NHL draft prospect Adam Novotný is also worth highlighting, with 44 points on the year and widely considered a potential first-round pick in June. The Petes are missing a big piece to their back end in James Petrovski, who went down with an injury in Peterborough’s last match-up against the 67’s.
The 67’s enter the game having won their last five straight games, dating back to the Battle of the Ottawa River. During this stretch, the 67’s have already picked up a win over the Petes, beating them 5-2 at home.
Capital connections:
The Petes have numerous connections to the Ottawa Valley, including 2025 OHL first overall pick Kaden McGregor (Ottawa), Adam Levac (Embrun), Calum Hartnell (Nepean), Matthew Perreault (Ottawa), and Brett Hammond (Ottawa).
Fans attending in person will have access to the Fan First Menu, featuring various snacks and treats for $3 to $5.
