GAME PREVIEW: 67’s poised to push back Peterborough to close out season series
OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa 67’s (41-14-3-3) will make one more stop in the Electric City before heading home, where they’ll face off against the Peterborough Petes (36-22-1-3), Thursday, March 8th, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Fans can also tune in to the game on Rogers TV Channel 22, via Flo Hockey, or listen to TSN 1200 for play-by-play from Kenny Walls.
The 67’s are led by overager Cooper Foster, who has 56 points on the season so far. Connor Bewick, who is coming off a third-star selection last game, has been a dependable force on the blue line this season. Bewick leads the team in plus-minus, with a plus-38 on the season, tied for fifth most in the OHL. Meanwhile, Jasper Kuhta, who is second on the team in points with 53, is eyeing his 30th goal.
As for the Petes, Kieron Walton is their top player, with 80 points this season. Brennan Faulkner was the biggest thorn in the 67’s side in the two teams’ last meeting, inserting the dagger in overtime on Thursday. Meanwhile, Aidan Young sits just one point away from 50 on the year.
The 67’s and Petes have met seven times this season, with Ottawa coming out on top in four. Peterborough has taken the last two games in the series, with a 7-3 win in February and a 1-0 overtime win. While recent games have favoured the Petes, the 67’s have been undefeated against Peterborough at home; they’ll look to continue that streak today.
Capital connections:
The Petes have multiple players from the National Capital region, including Matthew Perreault (Ottawa), Calum Hartnell (Nepean), Kaden McGregor (Braeside), and Brett Hammond (Ottawa).
Fans attending in person will have access to the Fan First Menu, featuring snacks and treats priced from $3 to $5.
