GAME PREVIEW: 67’s hope for change in fortunes against IceDogs
OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa 67’s (38-13-1-2) host the Niagara IceDogs (26-23-4-1) at TD Place on Saturday, February 20th, presented by ENDY. Fans can also tune in to the game on Rogers TV Channel 22, via Flo Hockey, or listen to TSN 1200 for play-by-play from Kenny Walls.
The 67’s remain led by Cooper Foster with 52 points, sitting just one point away from tying his career high in points. Foster was able to net two goals in Ottawa’s most recent outing against Niagara, helping them win 6-2. Furthermore, Spencer Bowes is looking to continue his reign of terror on the OHL, following a three-point outing against Barrie. While Jasper Kuhta remains the 67’s most prolific goalscorer with 27 on the year.
On the other side, Vancouver Canucks prospect Riley Patterson leads the IceDogs in goals, assists, and points. Fans should be on the lookout for 2026 NHL draft prospect Ryan Roobroeck, who sits second on the team in points with 58. The 67’s should also remain wary of San Jose Sharks prospect Haoxi Wang, who joined the IceDogs at the deadline from the Generals.
Both teams enter the game on losing skids, with Niagara having lost its last two in a row and Ottawa its last three. While the 67’s have, for the most part, remained competitive in their losing streak, Niagara is looking to avenge two nasty losses: 9-1 to North Bay and 6–2 to Sudbury. The IceDogs have faced off against Ottawa twice so far this season, with the 67’s winning in both matchups.
Capital connections:
The IceDogs have a couple of players from the National Capital region, including the likes of Chase Hull and Will Mullins (Ottawa),
Fans arriving in person will be able to enjoy $6.70 beers from 6 until 7 p.m at the game.
