Chris Hamilton celebrates 1,000 games as 67’s host Rangers
On Sunday afternoon inside The Arena at TD Place, it’s a massive milestone for Head Equipment Manager Chris Hamilton, who will work his 1000th game as the Ottawa 67’s (18-27-3-5) host the Kitchener Rangers (37-12-4-1) at 2 p.m. You can still get your tickets here.
Everything you need to know about your afternoon at TD Place is all in one spot, right here. For those who can’t make the trip, we’ve got you covered. You can see the action on Rogers TV and CHLTV, and you can hear Kenny Walls’ call on TSN 1200.
The Barber Poles are still stuck in ninth place in the Eastern Conference after the North Bay Battalion won in a shootout last night. They’ve claimed victories in each of their past two games, beating the Peterborough Petes 3-0 at home on Wednesday, and 4-1 on the road on Friday night.
Suddenly, they’re starting to get healthy, with a number of players returning to the lineup, including Cooper Foster, who scored an empty-netter in his return.
In the home-and-home series with the Petes, Collin MacKenzie was a brick wall, stopping all but one of the 65 shots turned his way, earning first-star honours in both contests.
Kitchener recently became the second team in the OHL to clinch a postseason berth, currently sitting in third in the Western Conference, though they have more points than the second-place Windsor Spitfires. One game into their trip east, the Rags are looking for their first win, after falling 4-2 to the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday.
The Rangers have gotten the most out of their overagers this season, with Trent Swick and Adrian Misaljevic being first and second on the team in points respectively, and Jackson Parsons being a workhorse in goal.
In their only other meeting, the Rangers picked up a 6-3 win. In that game, Nathan Amidovski scored his first career OHL goal. Will Gerrior and Chris Barlas scored the others.

Keys to the game
- Gear up
Hammy will have the players suited and booted for this one. They need to return the favour, and get him a big win.
- Defence
Allowing only one goal in two games is really impressive, and the Barber Poles are looking strong at their own end. Keep that going.
- Eachother
Play for one another. Be a team and put in your best 45 seconds every time you touch the ice.
