Bulldogs down 67’s
The Ottawa 67’s couldn’t handle the Brantford Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon inside The Arena at TD Place, falling 5-1.
The first was Nick Lardis’s period for the Bulldogs. The Chicago Blackhawks prospect scored a pair, his 61st and 62nd of the season. The first came on a one-timer, and the second on a shot from close on the power play.
In the second, the Bulldogs picked up another, as Patrick Thomas banged home a rebound on the power play, extending the visitors’ lead to three.
Lardis completed the hat-trick in the third period, scoring midway through. Late in the frame, the Barber Poles got on the board, with Chris Barlas making the most of a stolen puck.
However, Joshua Avery answered back before the buzzer, sealing a 5-1 win for the Bulldogs.
