Barber Poles visit Petes, hoping to force Game 7

After they were just minutes from what seemed to be sure elimination in Game 5, the Ottawa 67’s have a chance to force a Game 7 vs the Peterborough Petes at home, tonight.

Following a four-goal third period that saw the Barber Poles overcome a 4-1 deficit, Saturday, the series shifts back to the Peterborough Memorial Centre tonight, for Game 6.. Puck drop is set for 7:05pm, and fans can watch locally on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action on TSN 1200.

Despite a first-period goal by Logan Morrison, markers from Tucker Robertson, Connor Lockhart, Jonathan Melee, and Brian Zanetti had the 67’s staring down the barrel of an early exit. Then, in a comeback that was nothing short of miraculous, Frankie Marrelli, Brad Gardiner, and Morrison all scored within six minutes, bringing the score even at 4-4. With 2:08 left to play, Will Gerrior tipped home a Marrelli point shot, securing the electric win, in front of 5,062 fans inside The Arena at TD Place. Max Donoso out-duelled Michael Simpson between the pipes, for his fourth win of the playoffs.
