It’s the second game of the home-and-home series between the 67’s and Petes. On Thursday night, Peterborough started fast, working a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but the 67’s fought back to make it 2-1 before the intermission.
The Petes increased their lead to 3-1, and once again, the Barber Poles came storming back, tying the game at three apiece late in the contest. With six seconds to play, Genc Ula threw a shot on net from the blue line, and it found its way into the goal, giving the Petes the deciding goal in the dying seconds.
The 67’s got goals courtesy of Chris Barlas twice and Filip Ekberg.
It’s the final meeting of the season between these two rivals, and the 67’s are looking to put an exclamation point on the season series, which they already lead with five wins in seven games.
