It’s a big day inside The Arena at TD Place on Saturday afternoon, beginning with the Ottawa 67’s (14-21-3-5) hosting the Kingston Frontenacs (25-11-5-2) at 3 p.m., followed by a rivalry as old as time, as Ottawa Fire and Ottawa Police go toe-to-toe in a battle of first responders.

The Barber Poles have struggled recently, largely due to the increasing number of injuries that have begun to pile up. The losing streak is now up to nine games, following a 7-2 loss to the Frontenacs on Wednesday night in the Limestone City.
Luca Pinelli notched a pair of points, while rookie forward and Ottawa native Shaan Kingwell scored his first OHL goal in the third period.
The Frontenacs have been on an absolute tear offensively of late, scoring goal after goal. In their past three games, they’ve scored 19 times in regulation, bringing their season total to 192, one of the league’s top marks. On Friday night, they put together a comeback effort to down the Saginaw Spirit 7-6 in the shootout.
Former 67’s forward Tuomas Uronen has scored 18 points in his past six games, while Jacob Battaglia has 14 in that same stretch.
Through five meetings thus far in 2024-25, the Fronts hold a slight edge in the season series, taking three wins.

Keys to the game
- Fire away
Like Ottawa Fire, when you arrive on scene, get the water flowing. In this case, put the puck on net.
- Protect the net
Like Ottawa Police looking to keep the community safe, the 67’s need to patrol the front of the net.
- Communicate
First responders communicate exceptionally well together, and that’s something the Barber Poles can use to their advantage.
