Barber Poles eye 2-0 series lead over Oshawa
The Ottawa 67’s are looking to build on an outstanding Game 1 performance.
On the heels of a 7-0 victory at Centre Slush Puppie, Thursday night, the Barber Poles aim to earn a 2-0 series lead over the Oshawa Generals, Sunday afternoon. Puck drop is set for 2:00pm, and fans can watch live on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls call the action on 580 CFRA.
Ottawa enjoyed an offensive outburst in the series opener; with Luca Pinelli recording a team-high four points, as he, Frankie Marrelli, and Jack Matier scored two goals apiece. Collin MacKenzie was perfect in his postseason debut, making 16 saves for his first playoff shutout.
The Generals were held shotless in the first period, finishing down 56-16 in the category. Jacob Oster did all he could in goal, making 49 saves, while Matthew Buckley led the way with four shots on goal.
