Amidovski brothers square off on Family Day as 67’s welcome Battalion

It’s one of the biggest games of the season for the Ottawa 67’s (18-28-3-5), as they host the North Bay Battalion (20-27-4-0) on Family Day Monday at 2 p.m. inside The Arena at TD Place. Tickets for you and your whole family can be found here.

Ottawa is 2-1 on the weekend, twice defeating the Peterborough Petes, but falling to the Kitchener Rangers 5-1 on home ice yesterday. Their lone goal came midway through the first period, with Nic Whitehead hesitating to fool the goaltender in the slot.

Since returning to the lineup on Friday night in Peterborough, both Luca Pinelli and Cooper Foster have a pair of points in two games.

The Battalion are off to a flying start this weekend, taking down the Brampton Steelheads 4-2 on Thursday night, before handing the Barrie Colts a 5-4 loss in the shootout on Saturday. Lirim Amidovski had a point in each win, and scored the winner in the shootout in the 10th round in Barrie.

Ethan Procyszyn is enjoying a point-per-game season with the Troops and is currently riding a five-game point streak, in which time, he has seven points.

The 67’s currently hold a 2-1 series lead, but this afternoon’s game is the most important to date, with the winner taking hold of the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference to end the weekend.
