67’s Vinzenz Rohrer to appear in second World Juniors
Ottawa 67’s forward Vinzenz Rohrer will once again represent Austria at the 2023 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship, Hockey Austria announced today.
“Vinzenz has earned the opportunity to represent his country once again, which is a special moment for any player,” said 67’s Assistant General Manager and Director of Scouting Jan Egert. “The experience he will gain as an important player for the Austrian team will be a further benefit to him in his career, and we look forward to supporting him from Ottawa.”
Rohrer, 18, is in his second season with the Barber Poles, and has appeared in 26 games thus far, scoring 11 goals and 21 assists, for 32 points. He was named to last winter’s edition of the Austrian World Junior team, where he recorded an assist through two games.
A native of Feldkirch, Rohrer was named to the OHL Second All-Rookie team, in 2021-22, also earning an invite to the Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. He was selected in the third round, 75th overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Rohrer is the third member of the 67’s to suit up in this year’s tournament, with defenceman Jack Matier representing Canada, and forward Tyler Boucher playing for the United States. Barber Poles General Manager James Boyd is overseeing the Canadian roster once again, with Strength and Conditioning Coach Sean Young also on staff.

Rohrer est le troisième membre des 67’s à porter l’uniforme du tournoi de cette année, le défenseur Jack Matier représentant le Canada et l’attaquant Tyler Boucher jouant pour les États-Unis. Le directeur général de Barber Poles, James Boyd, supervise à nouveau la formation canadienne, avec l’entraîneur de force et de conditionnement physique Sean Young au sein du personnel.
