67’s select defenceman Brayden Jaravata with the 36th overall pick in the OHL Draft

OTTAWA – With the 36th overall pick in the 2026 OHL Priority Selection, the Ottawa 67s have selected Brayden Jaravata of The Hill Academy U16 AAA.

“Brayden is a competitive defenseman who can elevate the intensity of the game,” says General Manager Jan Egert. “His physicality and eagerness to make an impact make him hard to play against.”

The Vaughan, Ontario, native registered 40 points in 63 games with The Hill Academy U16 AAA. The left-shot defenseman also represented the team at the OHL Cup, notching three points over four games.

He was ranked 32nd overall by the OHL’s Consensus Ontario Top 100 list.

OTTAWA  – Avec le 36e choix au total lors du repêchage prioritaire de la LHO 2026, les 67 d’Ottawa ont sélectionné Brayden Jaravata, de l’équipe U16 AAA de la Hill Academy.

« Brayden est un défenseur combatif capable de faire monter l’intensité du match », déclare le directeur général Jan Egert. « Son jeu physique et sa volonté de faire la différence font de lui un adversaire redoutable. »

Originaire de Vaughan, en Ontario, il a inscrit 40 points en 63 matchs avec l’équipe U16 AAA de la Hill Academy. Ce défenseur gaucher a également représenté son équipe lors de la Coupe de l’OHL, récoltant trois points en quatre matchs.

Il occupait la 32e place du classement général du Top 100 de l’Ontario établi par la LHO.
