67’s Return to Action in North Bay
After a holiday break that was followed by a series of COVID-related postponements, the Ottawa 67’s return to the ice, this afternoon, when they pay a visit to the North Bay Battalion. Puck drop is set for 4:00pm EST, and Barber Poles fans can watch live on CHLTV.
The 67’s last played on December 19, at home against the Barrie Colts. Luca Pinelli scored his third goal of the year, and Vsevolod Gaidamak tallied his team-leading 13th, but the 67’s were downed by a final score of 5-2. Ottawa had games scheduled for December 28, and December 30, against the Oshawa Generals and Kingston Frontenacs, respectively, but both were postponed in accordance with the OHL’s COVID-19 protocols.
North Bay visited the Mississauga Steelheads on Wednesday, where they dropped a hard-fought 5-4 decision. The Troops were powered by goals from Mitchell Russell, Cam Gauvreau, Brandon Coe, and Liam Arnsby, but a late comeback effort fell just short against the Trout. The Battalion were set for a matchup with the Oshawa Generals, this weekend, before the sudden schedule changes.
