67’s pick up point in overtime loss to Frontenacs

An early goal and another solid performance between the pipes earned the Ottawa 67’s an important point on the road Wednesday night, but the Barber Poles fell 2-1 in overtime to the Kingston Frontenacs.
In a night where goals were at a premium, 67’s defenceman Kevin Bahl opened the scoring with his first of the year just 37 seconds into the first period. Bahl’s goal looked like it might stand as the winner but the Frontenacs had other plans, as Ryan Crawford tied things up with his third of the year at the 12:50 mark of the third.
Warren Foegele won it for Kingston midway through the five-minute overtime period. Despite the overtime loss, the 67’s have picked up three of a possible four points in their past two games with a home stand on the horizon.
Olivier Lafreniere was solid in goal for Ottawa in this one, turning away 31 shots.
The 67’s are back in action next weekend when they return home for back-to-back home games on December 3 and 4, against Kitchener and Mississauga.
