67’s pay Thursday visit to IceDogs
The weekend is getting off to a relatively early start for the Ottawa 67’s.
In a rare Thursday night matchup, the Barber Poles drop in on the Niagara IceDogs, in the first of two straight on the road. It’s a 7:00pm puck drop from the Meridian Centre, with fans able to watch live locally on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls on the radio call for TSN 1200.
The 67’s outplayed the OHL’s top team on Sunday afternoon, but found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-3 shootout result to the London Knights, at home. Brady Stonehouse, Caden Kelly, and Cooper Foster were the Ottawa goalscorers, in front of another stellar effort by the recently-returned Collin MacKenzie.
Niagara is looking to stop a four-game skid, the most recent of which came in decisive fashion. Hosting the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday, a goal by Ryan Vanetten with 10 seconds to play was the lone offensive output for the IceDogs, in an 8-1 defeat.
