67’s pay midweek visit to Oshawa
The Ottawa 67’s (9-9-2-4) make a brief trip to Oshawa tonight, where they’ll meet the Generals (16-9-1-1) at the Tribute Communities Centre at 7:05 p.m. You can see all of the action on Rogers TV and CHLTV, or hear Kenny Walls on TSN 1200.
Last weekend, the Barber Poles split their games against the Peterborough Petes and the London Knights. Caden Kelly scored in each game, bringing his season total to five.
The 67’s will be without Frankie Marrelli, who received a two-game suspension for a penalty in the final two minutes of the first period in Sunday’s loss to the Knights.
For Oshawa, it was also a weekend split last time out, with a 7-3 loss to the Brantford Bulldogs, followed by an 8-5 victory over the Kingston Frontenacs. Beckett Sennecke scored four goals and added two more assists for good measure in their Sunday evening win.
Luca Marrelli is second among defencemen in point scoring with 35, while Calum Ritchie has been on fire since returning from the Colorado Avalanche, scoring 33 points in 15 games.
Ottawa and Oshawa have met twice already in 2024-25, with both games going to overtime. Each team has a win apiece in the season series.

Keys to the game
- 60 minutes
As good as Oshawa is, the 67’s need a full team effort, wire-to-wire, to secure victory in hostile territory.
- Slow the pace
Norm Milley said, “We can’t go up and down the rink with them, they’ll out-skill us.”
- Keep it close
Ottawa has done a great job of staying in games all year, giving themselves a chance to win.
