67’s open home-and-home in Oshawa
It’s a three-in-three weekend for the Ottawa 67’s, and the opening two games will be a tough stretch against a divisional rival.
The Barber Poles pay a visit to the Oshawa Generals, Friday night, in the typical 7:35 puck drop at Tribute Communities Centre. Fans can watch live locally on Rogers TV, stream on CHL TV, or hear Kenny Walls on the call for 580 CFRA.
Ottawa snapped a two-game skid on Sunday, with a 5-2 win over the Mississauga Steelheads, powered by another two goals from captain Luca Pinelli. Caden Kelly, Will Gerrior, and Brady Stonehouse had the others, to go with a 29-save win for Max Donoso.
Having lost two straight themselves, the Generals are looking to return to the win column, after a tough loss on Sunday. Facing the Peterborough Petes on home ice, a 5-0 Oshawa lead slipped away, as the Petes won 6-5 in overtime. Despite the sickening result, Beckett Sennecke and Rasmus Kumpilainen each scored twice, and Calum Ritchie scored his second of the season. Jacob Oster made 39 saves in net.
The two teams split their back-to-back a couple of weeks ago. Ottawa won 4-1 inside The Arena at TD Place, with Oshawa winning 6-3 in their building the following evening.
